(090916) Day 8.... San Diego

Sooooo hard to believe that our first little leg of the journey is over and that we had to pack up and say goodbye to the Majestic Gardens for a few nights!! So first thing was first, I was all packed up and showered by 10am so I dawdled till 10.45 and called an uber as I figured Alamo might have been further in Downtown Disney than I thought. After half an hour walking around and asking two people I found the tiny little office two doors away from Earl of Sandwich lol I had passed the entry of Disneyland Hotel
anddddddd the carpark that the car was in so after I had checked in for the car with the extremely lovely guys from Alamo (by the way if I ever need to hire a car again this location is definitely the one I would use again - they even said they'd fill the car for US$48 ish and just to bring it back without filling it up - no catches!!), I walked back to pick up the car and got a very nice surprise :)
I drove back to the AMGH and the kids and I loaded it up and checked out :)
We were sad to leave as its a fantastic place to stay.
Well driving on the other side of the car on the other side of the road is a hugggggggge experience. I was extremely intimated and very happy to finally arrive in San Diego and park. The car is beautiful to drive and hopefully I will be a little more confident with each day. The concentration required was extreme so I was exhausted by the time we arrived and after checking in to the Howard Johnson Hotel, we walked the two and a half reasonably sized blocks to In and Out Burger. We had been busting to go here!!!!!

Kasey wanted to get a few stationery supplied from Staples so we wandered across the carpark and then walked back to the hotel where my little water baby wanted to swim again :)

We are not far away from the SD International airport so had a lovely view of the planes taking off from the pool area :)

Thank God for helping us to arrive safely. We have had a nice relaxing evening with three big days ahead. Tomorrow: Legoland.....
